What are the chains made of?

The links are metal alloy with a gold-tone or silver-tone plated finish, hand-set with crystals. To be direct about it: these are crystals, not natural diamonds or precious gemstones. They are chosen for brilliance and cut, and every stone is placed by hand.

Are chain collars safe for dogs?

Our chains are safe for supervised, decorative wear — which is exactly what they are made for. They are not walking collars, training collars, or tie-out collars, and they should never have a leash attached.

Three rules: fit it so two fingers slide underneath comfortably; take it off before crate time, unsupervised time, and rough play with other dogs; and keep your dog's regular collar and ID tags for daily wear and walks. Treat it the way you would treat your own jewelry.

Is this the same thing as a choke chain?

No, and the distinction matters. A choke or slip chain is a training tool — a loop that tightens under tension. Our chains fasten with a clasp at a fixed length and cannot tighten on your dog's neck. They are jewelry, not a correction device.

How do I know what size to order?

Measure your dog's neck with a soft tape where a collar normally sits, snug but with room for two fingers, then match that number to our chart. Full instructions and a breed reference are on the size guide.

How long does an order take?

Each piece is assembled by hand in Brooklyn after you order, so allow 2 to 3 weeks for production, plus transit. You'll get tracking by email when it ships. See the shipping policy for full details.

Can I return it?

All sales are final, because every piece is made to order in your chosen size and finish. If an order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, contact us within 7 days with photos and we'll repair, remake, or refund it. Full terms are in our refund policy.

How do the matching sets work?

Four of our styles — Classic, Deluxe, Gem, and the 14mm Cuban — are made in both a dog collar and an owner's necklace. Same links, same hand-set crystals, sized for each neck. Worn together they read as one piece across two necks.

Will it fit a very small or very large dog?

Standard sizes run 16 to 22 inches, with a 14 inch option on the Cuban chain. Outside that range, contact us — we can often make a custom length.

How do I clean it?

Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear. For anything more, use a barely damp cloth and dry it immediately. Keep it away from water, shampoo, flea treatment, and grooming sprays — plated finishes and set stones don't like any of them. Store it flat and dry rather than loose in a drawer.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, with rates shown at checkout. Customs duties and import taxes are the customer's responsibility.
